Production Update!
Basil Shadid and billie rain Shadid have worked diligently over the past two summers editing Austin Unbound. We are preparing a distribution plan for 2009 when the film will hit the festival circuit, be screened at universities, and later be available on DVD. Check back for more exciting developments!

The Ontario Rainbow Alliance for the Deaf with Come As You Are will be hosting a screening and presentation with Eliza in Toronto, Canada on Sept. 19th, 2008. ASL Interpreters Provided.
Forest Grove PFLAG will host a discussion and screening Oct. 21st, 2008. ASL Interpreters Provided.

Austin Unbound was listed in the Spring 2007 edition of the Pride Newsletter.

Grants!
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence made a $500 contribution in 2008 to Austin Unbound. The Polk Family Charitable Fund contributed a total amount of $1,500 to the project in 2005 and 2007, with another $600 donation in 2008. For the 2007 grant cycle, the Equity Foundation awarded a grant of $2,250, a $500 grant awarded in 2006. In the Fall of 2006, $2,150 was awarded by the Pride Foundation. Each grant brings the project closer to completion.
