The Crew of Greensoda Productions

Currently Working on Austin Unbound

Eliza Greenwood, Producer/Director
Eliza is a Sibling of a Deaf American, or SODA. Eliza graduated from George Washington University in 2003. While pursuing her B.A., she had the honor of attending Gallaudet University, the only liberal arts college for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing in the world. During her year there, Eliza was one of a handful of hearing undergraduates on campus. Her experience led her to found Greensoda Productions when promoting Deaf theatre at Gallaudet and other venues. She now lives in Portland, Oregon. She has spoken at many academic conferences. She is a member of the Columbia/Willamette steering committee for the Pride Foundation, a volunteer trainer for the Bridge 13 program of the Sexual Minority Youth Center, and on the board of non-profit organization Deaf and Hearing OutReach.

Selena Staley, Film Director/Director of Photography
Selena, who is Deaf, grew up with an older Deaf brother and a younger hearing sister. She attended Deaf and mainstream schools all over the country. Selena has studied photography, taught ASL and attended Gallaudet University. She calls Portland home but currently lives in San Francisco, CA, where she works and is involved in a variety of artistic and intellectual endeavors, including photography, theatre, ASL poetry, film and linguistics.

Mara Green, Associate Producer/Assistant Director
Mara lived in Portland after graduating from Amherst College in 2003. A hearing woman, she first encountered Deaf culture and ASL in her hometown of Miami, Florida. Mara spent time with the Deaf community in Kathmandu, Nepal, and continues to make contacts in international Deaf communities. Mara is a Ph.D. student of cultural anthropology at the University of California at Berkeley.

Shannon Graham, ASL Translator
Shannon did the ASL translation and subtitles and she has provided editing support on the rough cut of Austin Unbound. She has a Masters in Deaf Education from Gallaudet University. Originally from southern Illinois, Shannon lived in Portland for several years. She helped to found the non-profit organization, Deaf and Hearing Out Reach and taught science at the Washington School for the Deaf. Shannon lives in Hawaii National Park, HI.

Becky Kindblade, ASL Voice-Over Technician, Multimedia Assistant
Becky is a CODA, or Child of a Deaf Adult, and works as a freelance interpreter in the Portland Metro area. She is preparing to take the RID certification test. Becky likes to engage in projects, like Austin Unbound, that open her mind to other worlds. She also spends time restoring VW's, participating in and timekeeping for Portland to Coast with the Deaf Power Walkers/Runners, and as the Vice-President for NWKODA (Northwest Kids of Deaf Adults).
